CRANBROOK
Believed to date from the 1850s with later additions, this delightful Victorian cottage, whilst unlisted, is very much part of the town's history having been built originally as the town's single storey Lock-up, it was later extended upwards, an interesting feature being the stone staircase, and the bay window added to create a Dressmakers Shop; since then it appears to have been in continuous use as a home.
Planning permission was granted for a two storey extension in 2013, the ground floor of which has been completed with the addition of a first floor bedroom and ensuite held in abeyance. TWBC 13/03824/House
